My Pilgrimage – Update

The Temple Mount where Solomon built the 1st temple, Ezra built the 2nd, and Kind Herod built the 3rd before it was destroyed by Rome in A.D. 70.

Sitting on top of the mount is currently a Muslim place of worship called the Dome of the Rock.

The Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed before being sold into the hands of the enemy.

The Broad Wall – This wall was built over 2,600 years ago. It was part of the wall surrounding Jerusalem’s western hill during the reign of King Hezekiah (end of 8th century B.C.) The 7 meter-wide wall was excavated for a length of 65 meters. Perhaps this is the wall Isaiah referred to: “And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall (Isaiah 22:10)

The is the Western Wall. We happened to be here on Friday Night (The beginning of Sabbath). Tens of thousands of faithful Jews were here singing and dancing and worshiping and praying all in celebration of the bringing of the weekly festival called Shabbat (Sabbath). This was truly an amazing experience.

    Pastor,
Thank you so much for sharing your trip and for asking Mike Lester to inform us about the two regions where Jesus spent most of His time in His ministry.
The pictures you posted and the things Mike told us and showed us Sunday night are bringing the Bible very much to life. I’m glad you got to go and see for yourself where Jesus walked and ministered. I look forward to hearing you preach with this wonderful experience now part of your life.
